ZEN Residences & Hotel by Architect Svetozar Andreev
An Oasis in the Heart of St. Petersburg
ZEN Residences & Hotel is a 12-storey multifunctional complex with two underground levels, comprising residences, penthouses, a hotel, SPA facilities, restaurants and underground parking.
The project presents a contemporary interpretation of St. Petersburg architecture, combining modernist architectural language with the historic urban context and an integrated system of landscaped spaces.
The architectural morphology of the building is developed in dialogue with the ensemble of Dobrolyubov Square. The open façade colonnade engages with the existing architecture of the square, creating a contemporary continuation of its composition.
Inside the complex, the rhythm of the external façade is carried through into the atrium. Gardens and greenhouses define the entrance zone, while the multi-level, light-filled atrium with hanging gardens becomes the central spatial element of the complex. The landscaping system continues with private gardens and penthouse terraces on the rooftop.
Nature is integrated into the architecture as part of its spatial structure: exterior gardens transition into interior spaces, connecting the urban environment, public areas and private residences into a unified composition.
