THE COMPLETE WELNESS SPA HOTEL, RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL BY ARCHITECT SVETOZAR ANDREEV
The hotel complex is located in 30 000 sq.m. of land right on Brazil’s Atlantic coast, in a suburb of Rio De Janeiro. The complex includes the main hotel building with its own 50m pool, spa centre, three restaurants, a cafe and a roof garden. There is also a semicircular apartment block with its own private beach, restaurants, café and 146m seawater swimming pool, one of the largest of its kindin Latin America. The complex also includes a guest villa, boat-mooring, recreation areas and gardens on split levels, along with a collection of colonial-style buildings dating back to the construction of the old hotel at the end of the 19th century.

Дополнительно гостиничный комплекс включает в себя гостевую виллу, причал, площадкис зонами отдыха и садами на разных уровнях. В гостиничный комплекс также входит группа построекк старого отеля, построенного в конце 19 века в колониальном стиле.

THE COMPLETE — А MODERN SPA RESORT IN RIO DE JANEIRO: LUXURY ON THE ATLANTIC COAST
In 2014–2015, Svetozar Andreev’s architectural studio (Hotei-Russia) developed the design for THE COMPLETE Wellness Spa Hotel, a major spa resort in Maricá — a new, rapidly growing attraction point in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The complex was conceived as a modern resort that seamlessly blends contemporary wellness architecture with elegant tropical modernism, a high level of comfort, and a careful attitude toward historical heritage. The resort is situated on a 30,000 m² site directly on the prime Atlantic oceanfront.
Its key advantage is a private sandy beach and direct access to the sea.
The complex includes:

A main hotel building featuring a 50-meter swimming pool, a 1,500 m² spa center, three restaurants, cafes, and a landscaped rooftop garden.

A semi-circular apartment building with its own infrastructure: restaurants, cafes, a private sandy beach, and a unique 146-meter saltwater pool — one of the largest in Latin America.

A large guest villa with a secluded private territory.

A pier for yachts and boats.

Multi-level relaxation zones and terraced gardens, harmoniously integrated into the natural landscape.
The project gains a special atmosphere and charm from preserved colonial buildings of the late 19th century — the remains of a historic hotel that have been carefully integrated into the modern complex.
The architecture and design were fully developed by Svetozar Andreev. The project emphasizes unity with nature: expansive water surfaces, cascading terraced gardens, abundant tropical greenery, and maximum openness to the ocean create a feeling of total relaxation, rejuvenation, and deep fusion with the surrounding tropical environment.
THE COMPLETE Wellness Spa Hotel is a striking example of how modern architecture can naturally and harmoniously coexist with the history and landscape of the Brazilian coast. This is one of the studio's most ambitious projects in South America, clearly demonstrating Svetozar Andreev’s signature approach: a perfect balance of functionality, aesthetics, and deep respect for the unique natural and historical context.

O complexo inclui o edifício principal do hotel com sua própria piscina de 50 m, centro de spa, três restaurantes, um café e um jardim na cobertura. Há também um bloco de apartamentos semicircular com praia privativa própria, restaurantes, café e uma piscina de água do mar de 146 m — uma das maiores do seu tipo na América Latina. O complexo conta ainda com uma vila para hóspedes, área de ancoragem de barcos, áreas de lazer e jardins em níveis diferentes, além de um conjunto de edifícios no estilo colonial que remontam à construção do antigo hotel no final do século XIX.
